Hello World!

I am Dr. Dan L Bragg. I am hoping to develop a helpful and useful blog-plus site. I am in my 40th year of Christian Education and I continue to remember less. I think I heard some old guy proclaim to a younger leader that he had forgotten more than the particular individual ever knew. I did not think that an impressive statement!

Not knowing if anyone will ever read this, at least for me, it is my way of putting together what is important to me. Somehow, like a well done file system, I hope to find many of these things, ideas, thoughts, Biblical Princples, that I can pull out at the right time, just when I need it, to show at least a little wisdom. Is it possible that we can pusue a knowledge/wisdom combination that like the men of Issachar, helps us to understand the times and know what to do (I Chronicles 12:32)?

Even though I have a long resume, a lot of experinces, it is very debatable what I bring to the table. And with a very average intellect and a diminishing memory, my greatest gift is to drive us to God’s Word. I want to find ways to love it, use it, allow for self reflection and impact, and then live it out and execute the ideas and principles in the real life every day work that we do! Of course this includes our families, our hobbies, self-care etc. Like the stewardess on the airplane who tells us to put on our own oxygen mask first so that we are able to help others, so too do we have a lot of work to do to prepare us, get us ready, to do the work that God has called each of us to do (Ephesians 2:10).

So let’s get to it! Let’s pursue God and His Truth together. Let’s realize that much of what God call’s us to is straight forward and simple (Believe!)! And yet, life can be very difficult, challenging, complicated, and complex. The call of Jesus is not for the faint of heart (Galations 6:9). But He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world! We can live a life of Hope and Victory (I John 4:4)!!
