About

Dr. Bragg is working on his 40th year in Christian Education starting in 1985. He is currently doing his dream job at Calvary Christian School as Asst. Head of School in charge of Development/Advancement, curriculum, intervention, transportation and loves that fact that he can still coach Cross County and Track!

The forty year career includes teaching, coaching, guidance counseling, college professor, principal, and superintendent. He graduated from Taylor University to teach Socail Studies, then recieved MA degrees from Grace Seminary and Wright State. He was able to get an Ed-D from Liberty University in Education Leadership.

He has been thinking about this stuff for a along time! His experinces are filled with good, bad, and ugly (yet learning and growing through every situation).

He has jumped around a bit, but not on purpose! Starting with Dayton Christian, moving to Troy Christian, then Toledo Christian, and over to Cincinnati Christian, and up to Emmanuel Christian Academy, and then Legacy Christian Academy and finally now at Calvary.

His leadership has always been filled with great hope and great vision about what God can do through Christian Education. His heartbeat has always been make it better and push the envelope on what Christian Education can do and accomplish! Be the best of the best! Every school where he has been has grown and gotten stronger as an organization, finacially and in many other ways!

Edmond Buke said that all that is needed for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Dr. Bragg’s twist on the quote is that all that is needed for evil, sin, the world system of thought to take over, is for Christians to do nothing (or so little it becomes meaningless and useless). The point here is that Dr. Bragg has not done nothing! But fills up his schedule and his career with “Forceful Advance” – Matt 11:12

Pretty amazing guy, right!? Absolutely not! A sinner saved by Grace for sure. Visionaries, movers, shakers, do so many things wrong and rough up the staus quo, and some people would say Bragg looked like a “bull in a china shop.”

But he has a heart for the mission of Christian Education and would love nothing more than to improve our 2% of the population impacted to four, eight, and much greater than it is with quality impactful, disciplship focused, Christian Education. The only way for Christian’s to take back the culture, or at least be successful in the Babylon we find ourselves, is to execute well the Biblical principles taught in God’s Word. Christian educators are on the front line of this beautiful work. It has been said by some that Christian Education is the last light on in a dark world bent on self-destruction.

Even though Dr. Bragg works like a maniac, and is filled with passion for what he gets to do, he has an amazing family and has prioritized his wife and boys along the way. They are doing “Even Greater Things” as they work through amazing professional callings while also giving he and Annette bunches of grandkids (10 so far)! And his wife, oh my, she is a home run! Not only the mom of the century, but an amzing educator herself. She currently teaches math at West Liberty-Salem high school and part-time instructor at Franklin University.

Although retirement might be down the road ten years or so, the goal is to finish strong! Dr. Bragg wants to be as helpful and useful as possible. He loves to talk about Education, Leadership, Boardwork, Families, Integration, God’s Word, Journaling, and the last book he read!!
